Go to Dashboard in the Navigation bar.

Once you have added students, you can assign in two ways:

  1. Assign students pre-generated stories to read from the gallery
  2. Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a decodable story.

How to Assign

  1. Once you’ve added all of your students, click “+ New assignment”

There are 2 types of assignments that you can create for students.

  1. You can assign a phonics skill for students to create their own stories.

  2. You can assign a specific decodable book for students to read (see below).

  3. After selecting a phonics skill, select which students you want to assign the phoneme skill to.

Assigning a Phonics Skill for a Student Created Decodable Story

  1. Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a story.
  2. Once the assignment has been created you will receive a notification and the assignment will show up in the dashboard.

Up next: Understanding data in the dashboard

  1. Once you’ve clicked the story that you’d like to assign, click ‘Share’ and then ‘Assign’.

  2. Select and check the box of the students that you’d like to assign the story to.

    1. Students can:
      1. Read the assigned decodable
      2. Answer comprehension questions (about the assigned decodable *only available for decodables in the Grab-and-go library)
      3. Create decodables based on the particular skill that was assigned to them
  3. Once the assignment has been created, you will receive a notification and the assignment will be updated in the teacher dashboard.
