Go to Dashboard in the Navigation bar.

Once you have added students, you can assign in two ways:

1. Assign students pre-generated stories to read from the gallery
2. Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a decodable story.

How to Assign

1. Once you’ve added all of your students, click “+ New assignment”

There are 2 types of assignments that you can create for students.

1. You can assign a phonics skill for students to create their own stories.

2. You can assign a specific decodable book for students to read (see below).

3. After selecting a phonics skill, select which students you want to assign the phoneme skill to.

   • You can select one or multiple students to assign a phoneme skill to.
   • Click “Create assignment”

Assigning a Phonics Skill for a Student Created Decodable Story

1. Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a story.
   • Go to the Grab-and-go library
   • Scroll or type to find a phonics skill.
   • Click into a story
   • Click ‘share on the top right of the story and click ‘Assign’
   • Select one or multiple students that you want to assign the decodable story to.
   • In addition to reading the assigned decodable, you can also assign:
     • Comprehension questions (for grab-and-go stories)
     • Allow students to create their own decodables
   • Our scope and sequence is based on UFLI’s scope and sequence.
2. Once the assignment has been created you will receive a notification and the assignment will show up in the dashboard.

Go to the Grab-and-go library:

Click into a story:

Click ‘Share’ and then ‘Assign’

Check the students that you’d like to assign the deocdable to
