Go to Dashboard in the Navigation bar.
Once you have added students, you can assign in two ways:
- Assign students pre-generated stories to read from the gallery
- Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a decodable story.
How to Assign
- Once you’ve added all of your students, click “+ New assignment”
There are 2 types of assignments that you can create for students.

You can assign a phonics skill for students to create their own stories.

You can assign a specific decodable book for students to read (see below).

After selecting a phonics skill, select which students you want to assign the phoneme skill to.
- You can select one or multiple students to assign a phoneme skill to.
- Click “Create assignment”
Assigning a Phonics Skill for a Student Created Decodable Story
- Assign a phonics skill so that students can create a story.
- Go to the Grab-and-go library
- Scroll or type to find a phonics skill.
- Click into a story
- Click ‘share on the top right of the story and click ‘Assign’
- Select one or multiple students that you want to assign the decodable story to.
- In addition to reading the assigned decodable, you can also assign:
- Comprehension questions (for grab-and-go stories)
- Allow students to create their own decodables
- Our scope and sequence is based on UFLI’s scope and sequence.
- Once the assignment has been created you will receive a notification and the assignment will show up in the dashboard.

Once you’ve clicked the story that you’d like to assign, click ‘Share’ and then ‘Assign’.

Select and check the box of the students that you’d like to assign the story to.
- Students can:
- Read the assigned decodable
- Answer comprehension questions (about the assigned decodable *only available for decodables in the Grab-and-go library)
- Create decodables based on the particular skill that was assigned to them

Once the assignment has been created, you will receive a notification and the assignment will be updated in the teacher dashboard.
- Right now, you can only assign one pre-generated story or a story that a student can create at a time.
Go to the Grab-and-go library:
Click into a story:
Click ‘Share’ and then ‘Assign’
Check the students that you’d like to assign the deocdable to
